Hasta-pada-angusta-asana (The Hand-Foot-Big Toe Pose)
The Sanskrit word hasta means hand, pada means foot, and angusta means big toe therefore this is the hand-foot-big toe posture.
Instructions:
1. Sit at the ground with the legs collectively and prolonged instantly out in the front. Keep the
returned instantly, shoulders stage and head instantly. Place the hands, fingers down, flat on
pinnacle of the thighs.
2. Spread the legs as some distance aside as viable with out bending the knees.
3. Bend the left knee and area the lowest of the left foot in opposition to the internal left thigh.

7. Inhale slowly thru the nostrils freeing the posture at the same time as sitting up instantly.
8. Straighten the left leg and go back to the seated function defined in step 2 then
repeat the posture, this time bending the proper leg.

The blessings of the hasta-pada-angusta-asana are just like the ones of the ugra-asana (i.e.: spinal stretch, stomach toning, gastro-intestinal stimulation). There is extra stretching of the leg that is outstretched in addition to to the groin.
