After the COVID-19 pandemic, yoga has become a daily routine for many people. People who don't like to work out at the gym often turn to yoga for a daily workout. Best of all, you don't need yoga equipment, just enough space and a yoga mat. Not only can yoga help improve your physical health, it also benefits your mental health. Here are 11 yoga rules to remember before doing yoga next time.

Don't overuse yourself:

Even if you're doing simple asanas, don't overdo it. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 is the easiest, not all asanas need to be 10. Some may be 8, 7 or less. It also depends on your body and your routine

weather:

Do not perform yoga in extreme weather conditions such as too hot, too cold, or too humid.

Watch your breath:

Breathing plays an important role in yoga practice. Do not hold your breath unnaturally until instructed by the trainee. Breathe normally unless otherwise instructed.

yoga after meal:

Do not do yoga right after eating. When starting training, wait at least 23 hours for food to cool down.

Say no when you're tired:

Many people easily perceive yoga practice, but this is not true. Yoga classes can be as sweaty as you want them to be. So, when you are tired or sick, refrain from doing yoga to avoid straining your body.

Get a guide:

This is not a rule, but a recommendation, and do not do yoga alone. We recommend finding a partner and practicing under the guidance of others. Simply reading and practicing can cause muscle tension or discomfort. If you're new to advanced poses, it's best to get help from someone.

Don't wear tight clothes:

Avoid shoes and tight-fitting clothing when doing yoga. Clothing that is tight on the upper back restricts movement of the chest and lungs, which can lead to incomplete breathing.

Take shower:

Be sure to shower after strenuous exercise. However, do not shower right away, and dry your body thoroughly before showering.

Menstrual yoga:

Do not stand with your legs up (upside down) during the period. Practice simple relaxation and breathing positions during your period.

After yoga exercise:

It is not recommended to do high-intensity exercise after yoga. If you have a plan, do this before your yoga session.

Drinking Water:

Don't drink too much water between yoga sessions. You can drink a few sips in between to quench your thirst. Too much water can make your body heavy and make exercise
